Who We Are

Midwestern Fare with French Essence. This is the La Voûte motto. A restaurant that is bringing a refined yet approachable take on dining to the Homewood community. Located inside La Banque Hotel, in lovely downtown Homewood, La Voûte Restaurant was born from the renovation project of the Homewood State Bank. The restaurant opened to the public in June 2015 with new elegant décor and a refreshed ambiance. Here you'll find a balance of the beautifully rich history of the bank with a new, and truly unique environment for guests.

Our History

With the vision of French-Canadian Claude Gendreau, a 1925 Homewood State Bank went under extensive renovations to transform it from a former financial institution to an 18-room luxury boutique hotel. A nod to its former setting, throughout the restaurant you will find touches of bank-inspired decor — safety deposit boxes used as the backdrop of the bar and the original main vault is now a small, private dining room that was inspected and signed by then FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

Meet The Chef

Executive Chef & General Manager Robert Burt fine-tuned his interest for cooking with local ingredients as well as his connection to the local community while working on Locavore Farm, a unique farm-to-table pop-up concept in partnership with The Cottage on Dixie, a restaurant in Homewood where he served as General Manager & Sommelier. Chef Robert has had many diverse roles within the culinary world and is excited to bring his well-rounded knowledge of wine, craft cocktails, and French-inspired Midwestern cuisine to La Voûte.
